NHS Life & Times Production
NHS Life & Times Production
Life & Times tells the story of the relationship between the public and the National Health Service from its inception in 1948 through sixty years of evolution. The metaphor for this relationship is a love affair, the vehicle is song and dance.
It raises awareness of the history of the NHS, its journey through the years and the impact on community life.
The production is delivered by Heart of England staff, people who during their day save thousands of lives and in this production engage people's hearts and minds.
The cast have been selected from auditions and will undergo several months of training and rehearsals for a one night spectacular at the ICC in Birmingham on the 16th December.
Alongside the production an interactive art exhibition will also take place, showcasing art from staff, patients, and volunteers and from the local community young and old. The art exhibition focus will also be to celebrate 60 years of the NHS and photographic information boards will take the audience through each decade.
A programme will be produced and given to everyone who attends the event; this will bring together the performance, art, health and the future of Heart of England in a unique colour presentation.
Tickets are on sale now through the fundraising office at Heartlands (0121 424 0973) at just £10 each.
