Bee Design Consultancy Ltd is an independent design company specialising in providing its clients with a complete concept to production design service.  The Bee Design team consists of qualified engineers with a real passion for delivering quality designs and has combined experience of over 95 years in industry.  The teams’ design experience includes designing for injection moulding, casting, sheet metal fabrication, pressed metal components, carbon fibre, electro-mechanical assemblies, fixtures & tooling, concept sketches, Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly.

 

Having worked primarily in the automotive industry and being Six Sigma trained, Bee Design utilises many quality tools that guarantee their designs meet the required standards and quality of design, to ensure products are developed to specification, on time, on budget and of course at the right quality.

 

The Bee Design development process is extremely flexible, enabling the team to fully integrate with its clients purchasing, sales, manufacturing and quality teams, ensuring all aspects of the client business needs are met by the design – we can literally “bee” your design team!

 

Bee Design has a workshop facility to allow prototypes and low volume production runs to be produced.  From full appearance models to functional proof of concept models the team is fully committed to ensuring its designs meet or exceed the clients’ expectations.  This commitment is further enhanced by the use of state-of-the art Catia v5 3D modelling software enabling the team to present, simulate, evaluate and modify designs in virtual space before any revenue is spent on manufacturing tools or components.

 

In addition to its mechanical design service, Bee Design has specialist optical design capability.  Using ASAP optical simulation software to develop efficient, innovative lighting systems utilising the latest technology, from halogen to LED, products can be developed to meet the requirements demanded by today’s medical professionals.
