Amies Innovation

W.E. Amies was founded in 1929 and has an excellent reputation as an engineering moulder. We combine highly effective management, a skilled, dedicated workforce and modern plant housed in a spotlessly clean premises to deliver excellent outcomes for our customers. We specialise in small components (from about 250mmx250mm footprint down to a few mm; from 350g shot weight to under 1g) which we produce in a wide range of polymers including liquid crystal polymers for thin section microfluidic applications. We are often able to recommend better alternatives and design modifications to help our customers achieve a better outcome. We make components for the medical sector for use in operating theatres, and parts for the food and pharmaceutical markets in both metal detectable and antimicrobial formats. We have recently won two in vitro diagnostic projects for point-of-care testing (POCT) and hospital acquired infection (HAI) applications. Our quality management systems are certified to BS9001:2008. To protect and support our customers we retain samples from every run indefinitely. Amies is special because we deliver four customer benefits seldom found under the same roof in our industry, specifically: Quality modern equipment - so we reliably deliver accurate on-spec components Good technical skills - to add value to your component design and deliver good tools on time that will perform well from the outset. Spare Capacity - you can place work with us confident that we will keep up with your growth and deliver on time Strong financial position - we offer stability, peace of mind and a long term relationship based on mutual trust, and open, fair honest dealing. If you want to look back on a project and say "Surprised how smoothly it went" call 07872 130061 or email bill@amiesplastics.co.uk
